The proposed Speed Limit Order (Amendment 16) is now open for public consultation. This proposal aims to reduce the existing 30mph speed limit to 20mph on various roads through Borden (full details can be found online at www.kent.gov.uk/highwaysconsultations).

This change is being proposed for:

• Avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising
• Preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs
• Facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).
