M2 slip road closures - September 2022 to January 2023
National Highways have announced further closures as they continue their work to improve the M2 junction 5 Stockbury roundabout
Work will soon be starting on the new slip roads, and to do this National Highways will be closing the eastbound (coastbound) entry and exit slips between the M2 and A249 from Monday 12 September 2022 until Friday 13 January 2023.
Oad Street will also be closing between the A249 and Woodgate Lane, again from Monday 5 September until Monday 10 October to finish widening work started earlier this year.
The businesses on Oad Street, such as the café and the butchers, will remain open as usual, and can be accessed via the diversions.
On the second Wednesday of each month, a team from National Highways will be on hand at Oad Street Food and Crafts between 10am and 12pm, and again from 5pm and 7pm, to answer any questions you have. The next clinic will be on Wednesday 14 September.
They will also be running a special clinic for the slip road closures on Wednesday 24 August, between 10am and 12pm, and again from 5pm and 7pm.
The café can be found on Oad Street, Borden, nr Sittingbourne ME9 8LB. There is parking on site and the café is fully accessible. Feel free to go along and say hello.
If you can’t make it and have a question, you can email National Highways on [email protected] or call 0300 123 5000, and one of the team will be happy to help.
