The Parish Council receives the majority of it's income through the precept; an annual sum of money collected with the Council Tax by Swale Borough Council. 

The Parish Council maintains a variety of services in the village including the Playstool recreation ground, Centenary Gardens and woodland area, Nature Reserve, Sports Pavilion, footpath lighting, bus shelters, highways improvements and events. 

The Parish Council is the custodian trustee of Borden Parish Hall, which is run by a management committee.
